Hey, I'm Angela!

My Story

Just a maritime girl from the Atlantic Canadian coast. A mom, artist, and photographer, who's always got something creative up her sleeve. And now, my 40's have brought low hormones, mood swings, and 3am cortisol spikes (IYKYK). All this made me feel less than charming, for sure.

Totally into: chocolate, pretty spaces, and anything near a sandy beach, not to mention wearing my thoughts on my face since 1982.

I have over 20 years of digital art experience. Even graduated with a degree of photography in 2004.

My obsession with all things art began when I was just little. I was the sick girl, with bad lungs, who couldn't do many activities that were athletic or 'outdoorsy'. So I created my own worlds full of art and magic. Always tried to add sparkle and style everywhere I went.

Remember what I said about wearing my thoughts on my face, well I still do that! And my mom would probably still take the photo.

In 2015, with a toddler in tow, I opened my first shop, Playful Pixie Studio. It's still going strong with over 5000 items sold, and 400+ 5 star reviews. I'm pretty proud of my first baby that has a lifetime rating on Etsy of 4.8.

Over the years, I've learnt to do as much as I can! What I didn't learn in school (all those moons ago), I've picked up and obsessed over since. From Photoshop, to Canva, to Corjl, to Affinity Photo, and even actual paint, I do anything that brings that sparkle of art. And now am turning my perimenopausal journey into an outlet with little to no charm. Why? Well, hopefully to bring a laugh, or at least a smile, to other women on this journey too. Cause gawddamn - do we need it!
